Your body and your earthly self are not you. It is the capsule or container used to experience the three-dimensional atmosphere of this planet.
Everything is choice. Some of the most horrific calamities are choices made in the spiritual realm, to remove bad karma. Collective bad choices are what has placed our planet in its current abhorrent state. There is no Satan at the wheel, he's only a character in Christian folklore, created primarily for control, manipulation, and greed.
Sinister individuals like an Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, or an Idi Amin, can be referred to as "unfinished humans." As disconcerting as this may sound, they simply have more growing to do. Evil is unknowing and the best way to learn is to become what you hate.
Therefore, if you're a white racist and you hate black people; more than likely, this is the race you will assume in your next incarnation. If you're homophobic and hate gays; homosexuality is what you will experience in another life. This is not stated to disparage people who live alternate lifestyles, the author is delineating those who mistreat and are disrespectful toward gay people. In other words, one can only learn after you wearing the shoes of another.
We're here to make a difference; to alleviate suffering, or at least work toward that goal. Shamans understand that we have limited opportunities to experience infinity and to individuate as luminous beings.
Reincarnation and eternity is not a given, it's not a guarantee, but a possibility for those who have the courage, the integrity, and the discipline to retain their individuality beyond death.
Religion has popularized the fact that eternity is our birthright. It is our birthright, but it's not a given. If you do not take the act of power and courage, to step into your destiny as an infinite being, at some point of the evolutionary process, your molecules will be dissolved into the great life-force of creation. It's only the man and woman of wisdom that is able to make the leap into infinity and remember who they have always been. Those beings will never be touched by death again.
We change bodies, race, and religious beliefs, because we must learn from all perspectives.
What we call the soul is an energetic essence. A study done in the 1920's showed that the average weight loss at the time of death is 28 grams. This minute weight loss is attributed to the soul/spirit exiting the body.
Fear is what keeps us bound to time and being 'stalked by death'. The soul yearns to know, to learn. Rehashing pious folklore; to psychologically regurgitate apocryphal stories from primitive ages is useless, detrimental, and counter-productive to the soul's purpose. Religious institutions and governments make us think we're helpless in order to validate the fear factor.
There have been over 15 million reported cases of NDE's (near death experiences) but the information is suppressed. It's censored because, if you know you are an immortal being, there would be no intimidation. If you're not afraid, you can't be controlled. When there's no fear you unleash the power of the spirit. Fear blocks the flow of energy that opens your consciousness to allow us to see clearly, the metaphysical side of ourselves.
