It’s time for White America to step into the streets. Not in digital solidarity. Not with hashtags. But with real resistance... feet on the ground, voices raised, laws challenged. Black and Brown Americans cannot be the vanguard in this moment. If we were to rise en masse, martial law would be unleashed in a heartbeat. The difference is visibility. White protestors, when chaos erupts, can blend in, disappear into the system, walk home. We cannot. For us, visibility is a death sentence. For us, protest is criminalized by default.

If Donald Trump is not stopped—if the Heritage Foundation is not dismantled—America is headed for a dark, irreversible descent. This isn't hyperbole. It’s historical precedent. The ideological seeds have already been planted. What comes next may resemble something horrifyingly familiar: a modern iteration of the “Final Solution.”

The term “Final Solution” was a Nazi euphemism for the state-sponsored, systematic genocide of Europe’s Jewish population. In the early 1940s, deportation gave way to extermination. Jews across occupied Europe were told they were being relocated for labor, when in fact they were being sent to killing centers—Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor. It was bureaucratic, industrialized annihilation. And it required more than just soldiers. Ministries coordinated the trains. Courts legalized the orders. Citizens turned their eyes away.

Fast forward to the 21st century: the United States now operates mass detention centers and has laid the groundwork for industrial-scale deportation systems. These modern tools of exclusion and control are funded, staffed, and empowered by agencies such as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review.

Trump’s obsession with a “big, beautiful wall” is far more than symbolic. It has become the ideological and fiscal centerpiece of a sweeping apparatus designed to dehumanize immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. And the gears are already turning.

Behind the scenes, think tanks help legitimize this machinery. Organizations like the Center for Immigration Studies and The Heritage Foundation produce white papers and talking points that cloak xenophobia in the language of policy. These are not neutral institutions. The Heritage Foundation, in particular, has become the architect of authoritarianism—advancing a vision of government that favors surveillance, militarization, and social cleansing under the guise of “national security.”

Not all think tanks are complicit. The Migration Policy Institute and the Cato Institute, for instance, provide more critical perspectives—challenging the economics, ethics, and efficiency of mass deportations. But the loudest voices in the policy space are often the ones that echo fear, not fact. And fear, once institutionalized, becomes a weapon.

“Man can turn into an animal in no time,” Holocaust survivor Irene Weiss once warned. “All he needs is permission. As soon as permission is given from higher-ups, from the government, it accelerates.” That acceleration is underway. And too many Americans are still asleep behind the wheel.

I’m reminded of an old carnival attraction. It promised a glimpse at “the most dangerous creature on earth.” One visitor at a time was allowed in. The room would go dark, a spotlight would flip on, and staring back at you in the mirror—was yourself. That wasn’t a gimmick. It was a warning.

The most dangerous creature is the one capable of mass indifference. The one who obeys. The one who rationalizes cruelty with patriotism. That creature is us. We are the only species on the planet capable of killing for fun, for profit, or for no reason at all.

Today, Brown immigrants... especially Hispanic and Indigenous people... are the Jews of the 21st century, targeted by policies that echo ethnic cleansing. And if this trajectory continues unchecked, African Americans are next in line. The language of servitude is already back—coded in “law and order,” “crime,” and “cleaning up the streets.” The 13th Amendment left the door open. Trump and his enablers are standing in the threshold.

This planet, and the people on it, are nearing a breaking point. What comes next depends not on how loudly we protest online, but on whether those with the privilege to act will do so before the gears of history grind us down again.
