On June 29, 2017, President Donald Trump nominated Jerome Adams to become the 20th Surgeon General of the United States. He's also an anesthesiologist and a vice admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Adams is facing criticism from the African American community for controversial remarks he made during a White House coronavirus press conference. He discussed how communities of color can fight the spread of coronavirus and asked them to observe social distancing protocols “for your big mama” (that remark he should have kept to himself because the tone of it came off as if a white guy, who knows very little about Black culture said it).
Adams brought up a number of underlying issues that contribute to this pseudo pandemic referred to as COVID-19. His remarks would be overshadowed by rhetoric many found offensive — and that appeared to suggest minority COVID-19 deaths were a matter of personal responsibility.
And he is absolutely correct as COVID-19 relates to people of color.
Every single time we wait for assistance from the White community, more often than not, we are burned. This situation is no different. Furthermore, the reaction from White America toward Black America regarding anything is always going to be negative and should no longer be a surprise to us.
Self-medication via plants (in particular, the Aloe Vera plant, eat the gel inside), hot liquid consumption 3-4 times daily, take a couple aspirin every day or every-other-day, along with walking or some type of cardio exercise, is the way to prevent any of respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. That is specifically what the coronavirus happens to be; another strand of the flu, no more, no less.
Jerome Adams continued to place his foot in his mouth, after prescribing social distancing and hand-washing, he stated to "avoid alcohol, tobacco, and drugs." Well dahuuaaah, people - regardless of the color of your skin - should already know that.
The intoxicating agent in alcohol is ethanol. Ethanol is used in most types of gasoline. This is why excessive drinking leads to a plethora of related maladies. Illnesses such as Alcoholic cardiomyopathy (heart disease), gastritis (stomach inflammation), liver disease, and alcohol-induced pancreatitis (pancreas inflammation), to name a few. These illnesses are extremely painful. So not only are you about to cash in your chips, but you're going out suffering.
So you have excessive alcohol consumption, a piss-poor diet, and little to no exercise. If these are factors in your life, naturally you're going to fall in the high-death-rate category. And please, do not think for one moment that white folks are immune to these health issues. Based on the numbers alone (Caucasians make up about 60 percent of the US population, while African Americans make up 12-13 percent), many more white folks perish from the aforementioned poor health habits than black folks.
Another consideration is the fact that the average death toll has neither increased or decreased since the pseudo pandemic was announced. As usual, our government is lying to us to advance their own selfish agenda (see 9/11). This is flu season and every year people perish from flu-related symptoms.
In her book, "White Fragility... Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism," the author, Robin Diangelo (who happens to be Caucasian) stated:
"The United States was founded on the principle that all people are created equal. Yet the nation began with the attempted genocide of Indigenous people and the theft of their land. American wealth was built on the labor of kidnapped and enslaved Africans and their descendants. Women were denied the right to vote until 1920, and [black men and] women were denied access to that right until 1965."
Racism affects every aspect of American life, why would it be any different with the statistics they roll out every day?
Please people - black, white, red, or brown - start reading and researching independently and you will see how dark the con of man has been throughout human history.
